Carbon Steel Mechanical Tube
Carbon Steel Mechanical Tube has no weld seam. Tolerances stay close on the outside diameter. The inside diameter and the wall thickness are held just as tight. Surface finish gets steady attention too, along with how the tube performs mechanically. Tianjin Youcheng Technology Co., Ltd. supplies round tubes of this type. Outer diameter goes from 8 mm to 323.8 mm. Wall thickness runs from 1.0 mm to 30 mm. Grade options include 10#, 20#, 45#. We also supply 16Mn (Q345B). These match ASTM A519 grades 1018, 1020, and 1045. Machinery OEMs buy from us, and so do car makers. Engineering projects in several markets do too.

This product is not standard pipe for moving fluids. Makers hold it to close tolerances on OD. The ID and the wall thickness stay just as precise. Surface quality counts here, and so does mechanical performance.
Solid bar stock leaves more scrap behind and costs more to machine. A tube like this cuts down on both. Mobile equipment also gets a better weight-to-strength ratio. Under dynamic and cyclic loads, the structure holds up.
For some jobs, exact dimensions and consistent grain structure matter more than extreme heat resistance or corrosion resistance. This material works well in those cases.

Our mechanical tubes are produced through two methods depending on size and application:
The tube gets pulled through a die in cold drawing. Work hardening pushes yield strength and tensile strength up. Accuracy on dimensions comes out tighter than with hot finishing.
Primary applicable standard: GB/T 8162

Precise dimensional tolerance: wall thickness stays uniform. Less stock then has to be cut away later during machining. That brings the total processing cost down.
No weld seam: when torsion, bending, or repeated load cycles hit a seamed tube, the seam gives a weak spot a place to start. A seamless tube has no such place. Hydraulic cylinder barrels need that. Spinning driveshaft parts need it too.
Even grain structure: tensile and yield strength hold steady because of it. Cutting stays easy as well. So does machining, over the whole length of each tube.
Traceability for every material: an EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate goes out with each order. GB/T 8162 is the standard it is issued against. Heat-to-heat tracing comes along with it.
Wide dimensional range: The OD begins at 8 mm and runs up to 323.8 mm. Wall thickness sits between 1.0 mm and 30 mm. Four material grades are on the list. So a shop can take on every kind of fabrication job, from light brackets to heavy cylinder bodies.

Three main industrial sectors put Carbon Steel Mechanical Tube to work.
Automotive & Transportation
High torsional stress and vibration hit drive shafts. The same conditions turn up on steering columns and axle housings. Punishment like that cannot make the steel deform. For these parts, 20# and 45# are the grades most people pick.
Heavy Machinery & Hydraulics
One of the tougher jobs these tubes take on is a hydraulic cylinder barrel. Cold-drawn tube carries no weld seam. Inside, the wall stays smooth. That is how pressure stays contained when the cylinder cycles fast. Extra honing or work on the bore can be talked through, depending on what you need.
Infrastructure & Construction Equipment
Machine frames are built from these tubes. So are harvester structures and telescopic booms. Structural supports use them as well. What holds up the load-bearing performance in all kinds of working conditions is the strength-to-weight ratio of the tube.

Inspections happen during production, the whole way through. The standard used is GB/T 8162. Mechanical properties then get compared against grades matching ASTM A519.
Key quality control measures include:
Every order goes out with an EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Would you rather have a third-party inspection done? Just ask. SGS or BV can take care of that.

Value-Added Processing & Customization
Tubes can be ordered with additional processing to reduce on-site workload:
Got drawings and specs of your own? We can work to other national standards as well. Another option is processing set up around one specific project. Send your files over, and we will go through the details together.

Packaging & Logistics
With normal export packing, the goods go into hexagonal bundles tied up with steel strips. Container loading and sea freight both work with this. Our freight forwarding partners help us reach markets such as Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Mexico, and Kenya, plus others.

Q: What is the difference between ASTM A513 and A519 for this product?
A: ASTM A513 is the spec for electric-resistance-welded (ERW) carbon steel tubing. Seamless carbon steel tubing is covered by ASTM A519. For heavy-stress jobs, seamless A519 tube is the usual pick. It has no weld seam.
Q: Can this product work in hydraulic cylinder applications?
A: Yes. Hydraulic cylinder barrels commonly use cold-drawn tubes that have no weld seam. The inside bore also stays smooth. Tell us what the project calls for, and we can go over honing and the other inside work.
Q: What does cold drawing do for tube performance?
A: Cold drawing makes the metal work harden. Yield strength goes up, and tensile strength rises along with it. Tighter tolerances come out of it too, and the surface ends up smoother. That fits parts which get plated, honed, or fitted closely together.
Q: What kind of surface protection do you offer so the tubes don't rust in transit?
A: Standard tubes have a black bare finish. If you ask, we can add a temporary anti-rust oil coating, a varnish coating, or a bright annealed surface. Plastic end-caps are also available, and they help cut down internal oxidation.
Q: Do these tubes need preheating before you weld them?
A: Low carbon grades usually weld fine with no preheating. Take 10# and 20# (same as 1018/1020). Higher carbon grades, such as 45#, are a different story. You may need to preheat them and run post-weld heat treatment. That step cuts the risk of cracking in the heat-affected zone.
Q: Which papers ship with each order?
A: A Mill Test Certificate (MTC) under EN 10204 3.1 comes with each shipment. The certificate is issued against GB/T 8162. Traceability is full, heat to heat. Third-party inspection reports from SGS or BV are also available if you ask.
