Product Description

Stainless Square & Rectangular Hollow Section for Industrial & Architectural Use — Factory Direct Supply with Custom Processing

Stainless Square & Rectangular Hollow Section (SHS/RHS) is made by Tianjin Youcheng Technology to GB/T 12771. ASTM A554 and EN 10296 fit as well. Square sizes go from 10×10mm to 300×300mm. On the rectangular side, sizes run 10×20mm to 200×300mm. Wall thickness falls between 0.6mm and 12mm. Stock holds about 20000 tons. Normal production takes 7–10 days. Project orders for a single run are fine. Steady supply contracts work too. Every shipment includes a Mill Test Certificate (MTC).

What Is Stainless Square & Rectangular Hollow Section?

Stainless square and rectangular hollow section (SHS/RHS) counts as a closed-profile steel tube. All four sides carry the same wall thickness. Most standard sizes come from the ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) process. Small sizes built for heavy duty can also come from extrusion, with no weld seam.

You will find these profiles in decoration work. Chemical processing uses them too. So does water treatment. Architectural projects are another spot. Their shape holds steady. Corrosion does not get through the surface. That suits load-bearing structures. They also work well where people can see them.

Under normal oxidizing conditions, grades 304 and 304L do the job. Everyday building work suits them too. Bring chlorides into the picture, or any other chemicals, and 316 and 316L hold up far longer. Coastal projects choose them for that reason. So do marine sites. Chemical plants follow the same logic.

Surface Finish Options

How the steel is finished changes both its corrosion performance and how it looks in the end. Here are the options:

  • Pickled: Oxide scale left behind by welding gets stripped away. What stays is a clean matte surface, and that suits industrial work.
  • Brushed: Straight grain lines run evenly across the surface. Plenty of architecture and interior design work relies on this finish.
  • Mirror Polished: Light reflects off the surface the way it would off a mirror. Handrails, display structures and decorative facades all put it to work.
  • Passivation: This chemical treatment is not required. It makes the natural oxide layer thicker. In harsh environments, corrosion resistance improves as a result.

Custom passivation is available upon request.

Key Product Features

  • Corrosion resistance comes naturally: normal indoor or outdoor settings do not need an extra coating. It resists corrosion by itself.
  • ERW welded production: most standard sizes fall under this method. Small parts made for heavy duty work can go with the seamless option instead.
  • Custom processing: The factory can arrange straight cutting and deburring. Punching can be done as well. Bending and drilling are also possible.
  • Clean, consistent surface: this works well for architectural jobs where the metal stays on show. The finish must look correct.
  • Pre-shipment inspection: staff measure every batch and check it by eye. Hardness testing and a corrosion resistance check also run before dispatch.

Application Scenarios

Architectural & Decoration: Handrails belong in this group. Balustrades show up in the same places. Curtain wall frames fit too, along with interior partitions and display shelving. When structural parts stay visible, brushed and mirror-polished grades are usually the ones called for.

Industrial & Chemical Processing: For pipework, chemical plants tend to go with 316L grade sections. Those sections stand up to the job. Builders use the same sections as Stainless Square & Rectangular Hollow Section for equipment frames. Tank structures rely on them too. There is one plain reason behind that decision. Chemicals show up in everyday work at these sites.

Water Treatment Facilities: Rust does not get far with stainless hollow sections. At a water treatment plant, that matters a great deal. Support frames are one task they take on. You will also spot them in walkways. Structural members are another spot.

Coastal & Outdoor Structures: Salt air eats into most metals. Grade 316 holds up against it. Outdoor installations that use this material need less upkeep down the road.

Steel Products & Steel Pipes for a Broad Range of Industrial Applications

Our steel products, including steel pipes, structural sections, steel plates and coated steel coils, are widely used in steel structure construction, oil & gas pipeline transmission, petrochemical facilities, power projects, heavy machinery manufacturing and municipal infrastructure. All our industrial steel complies with international standards and comes with complete MTC, CE and SGS certificates to meet strict engineering requirements.

Packaging & Delivery

Products are packed with a protective film combined with wooden case or bundle packing to prevent surface damage in transit. This is particularly relevant for mirror-polished and brushed finishes.

With approximately 200 tons of stock available and a standard production lead time of 7–10 days, both stocked and production orders can be fulfilled without extended waiting periods. Export shipments are handled through established logistics channels to markets including Kuwait, Russia, Greece, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, and Kenya.

FAQ

Q: What grades are available?

A: 201 is one option. So are 304 and 304L, along with 316 and 316L. Most everyday jobs call for 304. Once chlorides or chemicals enter the picture, the spec moves to 316 and 316L.

Q: What sets ERW welded hollow sections apart from seamless extruded ones?

A: ERW welded sections cover most standard sizes. That helps hold the price down. It suits structural work and decorative parts. For small heavy-duty sizes, we use extruded sections with no weld seam. Pick those if the wall thickness must stay even under heavier load.

Q: Do you handle custom cutting and processing?

A: Yes. Straight cuts are part of what we offer. Deburring too. Punching is also on the list. So are bending and drilling. The usual fixed length is 6m. Need something else? We can arrange other lengths.

Q: Which surface finish is best for outdoor architectural work?

A: Brushed finish turns up often on architectural parts. Outdoors, or close to the coast, mirror-polished 316L is the better call. Passivation treatment stays optional. That pairing gives you the look you want plus stronger resistance to corrosion.

Q: What standards do these hollow sections comply with?

A: We build to GB/T 12771, ASTM A554, and EN 10296. A Mill Test Certificate (MTC) comes with each batch.

Q: How long does production take, and do you set a minimum order quantity?

A: Most orders are made in 7–10 days. What we hold in stock changes from week to week. For current inventory and order details, write to the sales team at sales@youchengkjsteel.com.
