Building Frame Channel Steel
The hot-rolled Building Frame Channel Steel that Youcheng Technology Co., Ltd. sells comes in sizes from 5# to 40# and types A36, Q235B, and Q355B. For 12 years, we've been selling steel. We always have about 20000 tonnes in stock, and the wait time for production is usually 7–10 days. We sell to people who build things in Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, Kenya, Belgium, and other places. There is a Mill Test Certificate with every sale that says the goods meet the standards set by GB/T 707, ASTM A36, and EN 10025.

Channel steel is a U-shaped structural profile that is hot-rolled and made to hold bending loads, prevent twisting, and have a flat surface for welding or bolting connections.
It can be found in machinery bases, support beams, upper floors, steel frames and curtain wall sub-frames. There isn't a lot of complicated fabrication work needed to connect the flat web and two parallel flanges to other structural parts.
Channel steel is more stable on the sides than flat plate steel, and it has a higher strength-to-weight ratio. This means that structural systems made of channel steel can hold the same amount of weight while being lighter.

Each grade is selected based on load requirements, project location, and welding conditions.
| Grade | Standard | Yield Strength (Min.) | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q235B | GB/T 700 | 235 MPa | General structures, mild environments |
| Q355B | GB/T 1591 | 355 MPa | Heavy-load frames, industrial buildings |
| S235JR | EN 10025 | 235 MPa | European-spec structural projects |
| S355JR | EN 10025 | 355 MPa | High-load European applications |
| A36 | ASTM A36 | 250 MPa | North American market requirements |
Carbon content is controlled between 0.12% and 0.20% across grades, supporting consistent weldability. Manganese additions in Q355B and S355JR improve toughness under impact and fatigue loading.

Custom lengths and hole patterns are available. Dimensions are verified before shipment using calibrated measuring tools.
Strong enough to hold weight. The U-shape spreads bending stress across the web and flanges, which is good for beams, floor joists, and column clamps that are always being loaded.
There are many sizes to pick from. Section sizes can be changed to fit the load without having to name too much material. They range from 5# light channel to 40# heavy channel.
Different ways to stop rusting. Hot-dip galvanising is a choice for use outside. Before the zinc layer is sent out, magnetic flux gauges are used to measure and write down how thick it is. Once the work is done, a zinc-rich cold-galvanizing spray can cover the cut ends and holes that have been made.
Processing with a lot of freedom. It is possible to cut, punch, and bend set lengths in-house, which cuts down on waste on-site and production time.
The ability to weld consistently. Controlling the amount of carbon in the metal and making sure the surface is clean help keep the weld's quality fixed without the need for extra heating.

Warehouse and mezzanine solutions for businesses. Channel steel is used as a floor joist and support column in warehouses. It can handle point loads from shelving systems and truck traffic without deflecting too much.
The sub-frames of curtain walls in tall buildings. Secondary bracing holds up the glass or stone siding and stops wind pressure and temperature changes. The flat web surface makes it easier to place anchor brackets.
Renewable energy mounting structures. Hot-dip galvanised Building Frame Channel Steel is used in solar panel fixing frames where being resistant to corrosion outside in salty or wet conditions is a key design factor.
Supports and bases for machines and tools. The U-profile with a flat bottom can be bolted directly to concrete pads or steel platforms. This makes it a good choice for machine bases, conveyor frames, and other industrial support structures.
Before each item ships, it is checked in five different areas:
Every order comes with a Mill Test Certificate that lists the chemical makeup and mechanical property results.

Products are packed in bundles with steel straps and export-worthy packaging that can be used for filling containers and shipping goods by sea. Since we keep about 200 tonnes in stock and can make special orders in 7–10 days, most orders for Building Frame Channel Steel can be shipped without any long delays.

Q: How is hot-rolled channel steel different from cold-formed channel steel?
A: When it comes to heavy-load uses, hot-rolled channel is better because it has a stronger structure. Cold-forming lets you get closer tolerances and smaller gauges for uses that aren't as heavy.
Q: Can you cut channel steel to any length I need?
A: Absolutely. We offer fixed-length cuts in-house. Custom lengths cut down on butt welding that needs to be done on-site and make your frame's structure more coherent.
Q: What grade is best for structures that need to hold more weight?
A: There is a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa for both Q355B and S355JR, which means they can both be used for heavy-load frames and industrial buildings. The grade you choose should be confirmed by your structural engineer based on the needs of the job.
Q: How can I protect the edges of galvanised pieces that have been cut?
A: To fix the protected layer after processing, a zinc-rich cold-galvanizing spray is put on the cut ends and drilled holes.
Q: What kinds of surface finishes are there?
A: The natural surface is always black. You can get hot-dip galvanising or a painted finish, based on how the project will be used.
Q: What kind of Mill Test Certificates do you offer?
A: Absolutely. Each order comes with an MTC that lists the chemical make-up and mechanical properties of the heat that was sent.
