PPGI Color Coated Coil
PPGI Color Coated Coil (Pre-painted Galvanized Iron) is produced by chemically pre-treating a hot-dip galvanized steel substrate and oven-curing it with organic paint layers in a continuous coil process. This method produces uniform film thickness of 15–35 microns and consistent adhesion that field painting cannot replicate. Tianjin Youcheng Technology supplies factory-direct color coated steel with approximately 20000 tons in stock and a 7–10 day production lead time, serving markets across Kuwait, Brazil, Kenya, Belgium, and other regions.

PPGI begins with a hot-dip galvanized steel base. PE, HDP, SMP, or PVDF paint coatings are applied on top. That work runs through a continuous color coating line. The finished material is ready to use. No painting is needed at the site. Labor costs drop. Color and corrosion protection stay consistent from day one.
Builders and manufacturers face a few practical problems. The multi-layer structure handles them:

Two things depend on the paint system you pick: how long the product lasts, and what it costs. See how each option compares below.
PE (Polyester): This one costs the least. It handles most indoor and outdoor uses. Color sticks around for about 7 to 10 years. In mild weather, standard roofing and wall panels do well with it.
HDP (High Durability Polyester): UV light does less damage to it than to standard PE. Got a project in a spot with strong sun? Then this is a sensible pick.
SMP (Silicone Modified Polyester): You get a tougher surface, and heat is less of a problem. Panels that face mild temperature changes suit it well.
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride): It was made for industrial sites and for coastal spots. Accelerated testing shows the color holds up as time goes on. Corrosion driven by chlorides stays in check too. Chalk build-up also stays low. Pick it for buildings near the sea, or for places with heavy pollution.

There are plenty of ways builders and manufacturers put color coated steel to work:
Metal Roofing & Wall Cladding: Air thick with salt eats at most metals. That is why coastal sites do well with coils coated in PVDF. Sunlight hardly touches them, even after many years in service. Chalking stays at a low level.
Garage Doors & Container Panels: A T-bend rating of ≤ 3T tells you the coating survives mechanical forming. Bend the metal and it stays whole. You will not see cracks or delamination.
Controlled Environment Agriculture: Ammonia is rough on greenhouse frames and livestock buildings. So is chemical cleaning, which happens again and again. The material has to take both. PPGI does.
Home Appliance Manufacturing: High-gloss and anti-fingerprint PPGI Color Coated Coil goes into refrigerator side panels and microwave housings. Forming compatibility and surface appearance are the main needs there.
Before any shipment leaves the facility, each coil goes through a structured inspection process:
Every order comes with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). Need the ISO and RoHS compliance papers? Just ask and we will send them.

The production line supports a range of order configurations:
Any product can be set up to fit your national market standards or the conditions of a project.

Coils stay in good shape until installation when you store them the right way. Put them in a dry, ventilated indoor environment. Moisture trapped between the laps of a PPGI Color Coated Coil brings white rust or wet storage staining. That changes how the surface looks. It also affects how well the coating sticks. Coils should sit off the ground too, with nothing touching water directly.
Q: How do PE and PVDF coatings differ?
A: PE gives affordable protection for approximately 7–10 years. General uses in mild climates suit it. PVDF is made for harsh coastal or industrial places. There, chemical stability and UV resistance come first. It also does well in accelerated aging tests, compared to standard polyester systems.
Q: Is this product suitable for deep drawing?
A: Yes, as long as the substrate is a drawing grade like DX53D. The coating system also has to be made for high elasticity. Before you order, check the forming requirements with your supplier.
Q: Why does the color fade unevenly at times?
A: Two things usually explain it. UV exposure can differ from one spot on the surface to the next. Another cause is paint batches mixed from slightly different formulations. On large projects, name one paint brand and one batch number so the color stays the same all the way through.
Q: What keeps edge creep corrosion away after slitting?
A: Choose slitting blades that leave as few burrs as possible on the cut edge. In humid settings, coat the exposed cut edges with an edge-sealing compound. That way moisture cannot get in.
Q: Which storage conditions work best for coils?
A: Coils belong indoors, in a dry spot with plenty of airflow. Don't leave them sitting out in the open. Never stack them straight on wet ground either. White rust on galvanized surfaces usually traces back to capillary moisture stuck between the coil laps.
Q: Which papers and certificates can you send me?
A: Each order ships with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). ISO or RoHS compliance papers? We can send those too, just ask. Your country may have its own import rules. If so, we can prepare custom paperwork that fits.
