Product Description

Stainless Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate — Precision Cut-to-Length Solutions for Industrial and Structural Applications

Stainless Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate is made by Tianjin Youcheng Technology. Our precision Cut-to-Length (CTL) lines handle the job. First the big stainless coils get uncoiled. Leveling comes next. Then they are cut into flat rectangular pieces, each one sized exactly. Grades on offer are 201, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, and 321. Thickness starts at 0.3 mm and runs to 80 mm. Width goes from 1000 mm to 2000 mm. A Mill Test Certificate (MTC) ships with every batch. GB/T 3280 is met. ASTM A240 and EN 10088 are matched too.

Stainless Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate

What Is This Product?

Uncoiling comes first in cut-to-length processing. The strip then goes through multi-roll leveling, which eases stress trapped inside the coil. High-speed shears cut it to the sizes you ask for after that. Ordering this way takes care of the leftover coil set. That coil set is what makes plate pop up later, during laser or plasma cutting.

B2B buyers can order custom-length plates. These plates cut out the off-cut scrap tied to standard 4×8 or 5×10 sheet sizes. That means less material waste on big structural and pressure vessel jobs. Distributors can keep coil stock too. They can fill many different size needs without holding several pre-cut sizes.

Surface Finish Options

Corrosion resistance rides on the surface finish. How the steel behaves during fabrication depends on it as well. So does the way it looks once installed. No single finish suits every job:

  • No.1 Pickled: The coil is hot rolled, then treated with acid. It goes into industrial structural work
  • 2B: Cold rolled, smooth, and matte. Food processing and chemical equipment builders ask for this one more than any other
  • BA (Bright Annealed): Light bounces straight off the surface, so it reads like a mirror. Decorative panels are a good fit for it
  • Brushed (No.4): A satin finish, and the grain runs one way only. Architectural cladding is one place you find it. Kitchen equipment uses it as well
  • Mirror 8K: The polish goes very far, so the shine is strong. Displays are one use. Decorative work is another
  • Passivation: Optional treatment that reinforces the natural oxide layer for chloride-heavy environments

Key Technical Properties

At least 10.5% chromium goes into these plates, and that is where corrosion resistance begins. The chromium forms a passive oxide layer. Scratch that layer and it heals itself. Grade 316L adds molybdenum (2–3%) to the mix. Pitting caused by chlorides is what this plate fights, which counts near the coast and inside chemical plants.

Most 300-series grades land between 515 and 620 MPa in tensile strength. Cut-to-length work keeps edges square as well, and it holds burr height down. Automated welding lines need both of those things. Multi-roll leveling is what keeps the plate flat and meets ASTM A480 flatness standards. Laser cutting accuracy depends on that flatness.

Application Scenarios

Industrial Pressure Vessels and Chemical Storage

Chloride pitting is a serious risk in chemical tanks and pressure vessels, so 316L cut plates get used there a lot. Buy custom lengths and you end up with fewer vertical weld seams. A fabricated vessel with fewer seams can come out stronger.

Food, Beverage, and Water Treatment

Grade 304 shows up a lot in dairy silos and brewery vats. You will also find it in Stainless Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate for water treatment systems. Its 2B surface finish leaves the inside smooth. Bacteria have a hard time building up on it, and cleaning is easy.

Architectural and Structural Cladding

Custom-cut plates come in long lengths. Fewer joints show on outside facades. That cuts down the spots where water can get in. For tall buildings near the sea or coast, mirror 8K and BA finishes keep the reflection even across the surface.

Marine and Offshore Applications

In places exposed to saltwater, people use 316L and 316 grades with passivation treatment. Plain carbon steel breaks down fast there.

Custom Processing and Fabrication Services

Raw plate stock is not the only thing you can buy from us. Our processing services cover laser cutting, waterjet cutting, drilling, bending, and stamping. That way the parts reach you close to finished. OEM and ODM customization handles the standards used in different national markets. It also fits whatever a single project calls for. Sizes outside the normal 2000–6000 mm length can be arranged too. Just send us a request.

Quality Control and Certification for Stainless Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate

Every batch of this product goes through checks at a few stages before it ships:

  • Dimensional Accuracy: Digital calipers and laser tools measure length and width. Squareness gets checked along the diagonals too. Every reading has to sit inside ±0.5 mm.
  • Flatness Verification: We run I-unit measurement and feeler gauge tests. Those tests show the plates hit the flatness requirements for laser cutting
  • Surface Integrity: A visual and touch check catches coil breaks, roll marks, or scratches. Before dispatch, PVC protective film gets applied
  • Material Certification: Every batch ties back to a Mill Test Report (MTR). Heat numbers make the material traceable. The full mechanical test results come with it. Tensile readings are inside. Yield and elongation figures follow, and hardness numbers are there too

Just ask us and Certificates of Compliance will be sent to you.

FAQ

Q: What grades work for sanitary and food use?

A: Most food processing lines run on 304 or 304L. The same two grades show up in water treatment and sanitary equipment. For surfaces that touch the product, the 2B finish is normally what you want. If more chloride resistance is required, go with 316L.

Q: How thin and how thick can the material be?

A: Cold rolled sheets start at 0.3 mm. Heavy hot rolled plates reach 80 mm. Want a custom thickness inside that range, or close to it? We can talk it through, based on what your project needs.

Q: Can you cut plates to non-standard dimensions?

A: Yes. Custom cut sizes beyond the standard 2000–6000 mm length range are available. Laser cutting, waterjet cutting, drilling, and bending are all offered as part of processing services.

Q: Which grade and surface finish hold up best near the coast or out at sea?

A: For coastal and marine exposure, 316L grade with passivation treatment is a practical choice. Mirror 8K and BA finishes with passivation are also used for architectural cladding in saltwater climates.

Q: What certifications and documents arrive with an order?

A: Every batch goes out with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). It shows the heat number, the chemical composition, and the mechanical test results. Certificates of Compliance come on request.

Q: What are the standard production lead times?

A: Standard production lead time is 7–10 days. With approximately 200 tons held in stock, commonly ordered grades and dimensions may be available for faster dispatch.
