Product Description

Carbon Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate — Flat Plates for Structural & Industrial Fabrication

Buyers can get Carbon Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate from Tianjin Youcheng Technology Co., Ltd. Thickness starts at 1.5 mm. The top end is 200 mm. Width range is 1000 mm to 2500 mm. For length, the range is 2000 mm to 12000 mm. Custom cut-to-size orders are welcome. Q235B is one grade we offer. So is Q355B. A36 and A283 Gr.C/D round out the list. Each grade meets GB/T 700. The same holds for GB/T 3274. ASTM A36 and ASTM A283 are met too. Roughly 200 tons are on hand. Lead time is normally 7 to 10 days. Our support goes to structural, machinery, and engineering projects worldwide.

What Is This Product?

Big master coils go through decoiling first. Next comes precision leveling, then transverse shearing. What comes out is flat steel, cut to a set sheet or plate size. Those flat products are what the trade calls this product.

Fabricators run into three common problems, and this process solves them. Standard sizes create a lot of scrap. Leftover coil set can mess up automated laser cutting. Plants that lack heavy-duty decoiling equipment find heavy-gauge master coils hard to handle.

The end material is flat. Its dimensions hold. You can send it straight into fabrication. No extra straightening step is needed.

Material Properties & Mechanical Performance

Carbon sits between 0.05% and 0.60%. Manganese stays at a controlled level, and so do Phosphorus and Sulfur. Weldability stays good that way.

For Q235B and A36 grades, yield strength (ReH) begins at 235 MPa. High-strength low-alloy grades get up to 550 MPa. Tensile strength can hit 700 MPa. Every grade has good ductility for structural work. Welding and cutting cause no problems. General machining is the same.

Mechanical properties are checked against the standards in the specification table above. A Mill Test Certificate (MTC) ships with every order too. Chemical composition shows up on that certificate. So do mechanical test results.

Surface Finish & Anti-Corrosion Options

There are a few surface treatments you can order. Which one you go with comes down to two things. One is the setting the project sits in. The other is the job the part has to do.

  • Black mill scale: standard hot rolled finish for general fabrication
  • Shot blasting: mill scale comes off, so paint has something to grip. The Sa 2.5 cleanliness standard is met as well
  • Anti-rust oil: when parts go into storage or get shipped, this keeps rust away for a short stretch of time
  • Painting: the blasting has to finish first, then a primer or an anti-rust coat is applied
  • Galvanizing: this option suits parts that must hold off rust longer outdoors or in wet air

Choose the right surface treatment when you order. Later on, that means less extra work.

Custom Processing Services

You can lower the number of in-house fabrication steps with the processing services below:

  • Cutting: Send us the shape you need. The tolerance you ask for is the tolerance we hold. Flame, plasma or laser does the work, whichever suits the job
  • Custom sizing: Any length from 2000 mm to 12000 mm can be ordered. We can also do other sizes, as long as they sit inside the width and thickness range we carry
  • Bending: Plate bending to specified angles and radii
  • Drilling: Hole processing for connection plates and structural members
  • Machining: The surface gets machined so the sizes and dimensions come out exact

All custom work gets done before the material ships. It arrives ready to go right into assembly.

Quality Control & Inspection

Every order goes through a size check. Thickness is measured against ASTM A6 or A568 tolerance standards. Width and length are measured the same way. On the surface we look for pits. Scale patches and laminations get written down too. Before dispatch, flatness is checked.

How well does the material hold up? Tensile tests answer that. They also verify the yield-to-tensile ratios. Every shipment leaves with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). The chemical composition sits on it. So do the mechanical test results.

Application Scenarios for Carbon Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate

Many structural and industrial projects call for Carbon Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate.

Automotive & Transportation: Heavy-duty trucks carry these in picture frames and chassis parts. Shifting loads hit those parts. Vibration also keeps coming, with no pause. Over time, that wears them down.

Heavy Industrial Machinery: Excavator buckets fall into this group. Crane booms and farm equipment do too. When stress begins to build, high-strength grades keep the structure rigid.

Infrastructure & Energy: Storage tanks go here. Bridge girders belong here too, and pressure vessel shells do as well. Every piece must hold its shape. The welds have to stay sound.

Building & General Fabrication: Factory buildings with steel structures belong here. Warehouse frames count too. General structural members are included as well. For these, Q235B or A36 grade gives welds you can trust. The price point is also within reach.

Packaging & Delivery

Plates are packaged in steel-strapped bundles and wrapped with waterproof paper to prevent moisture and surface damage during ocean or land transport.

With approximately 200 tons in stock and a standard production lead time of 7–10 days for Carbon Steel Sheet & Coil Cut Plate, most orders can be fulfilled without extended waiting. Export shipments have been sent to markets including Kuwait, Russia, Greece, Brazil, Mexico, and Kenya.

FAQ

Q: What cutting methods are available for carbon steel plates?

A: Flame cutting, plasma cutting, and laser cutting are all available. Cut shape, dimensions, and edge requirements can be specified, and processing is completed before shipment.

Q: Can you supply plates with custom dimensions outside standard sizes?

A: Yes. We cut lengths anywhere from 2000 mm to 12000 mm. Your spec gets followed to the letter. Width and thickness can be adjusted as well. Our range runs 1000 to 2500 mm wide, and 1.5 to 200 mm thick.

Q: What surface treatment is recommended for outdoor structural use?

A: Shot blasting to Sa 2.5 plus an anti-rust primer coat suits outdoor structures well. Want corrosion protection that lasts longer? Galvanizing is one option.

Q: Which certificate comes with each order?

A: Every shipment arrives with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). The chemical composition shows up on it, and so do the mechanical test results.

Q: What is the standard production lead time?

A: Standard lead time runs 7–10 days. If the item is in stock, it can go out sooner. How much sooner depends on order quantity and the logistics schedule.

Q: Is custom processing available for a specific project's needs?

A: Yes. Custom dimensions, surface treatments, cutting patterns, drilling, and machining are available. Send your project drawings or specifications for a direct quote.
